UWA is situated next to a main highway giving quick and easy access to Perth's CBD, major shopping centers, beaches, and the port city of Fremantle.
The University has a total of 12,000 students including over 1,000 international students. It offers a choice of 65 fields of study in 49 teaching departments and centers with more than 700 highly qualified academic staff. UWA has a consistent record of attracting approximately 70 per cent of the top-scoring 1,000 high school graduates completing their matriculation in Western Australia.
The Guild of Undergraduates is UWA's student organization.
