Description:
| Bond University is a small, private university consisting of five academic units: the schools of Business, Humanities & Social Sciences, Information Technology, Law and the Institute of Health Sciences. Bond emphasizes instruction in small groups by highly qualified staff committed to high quality teaching. Results of recent surveys rank Bond University first in good teaching, overall satisfaction, and graduate employment. The university has a unique scheduling format with three semesters a year, starting in January, May and September.
The campus combines the natural beauty of the site with magnificent buildings. Bond University has two libraries and study abroad students have free access to email and the internet. Students can choose to participate in a wide variety of clubs, activities and events. The campus facilities include a 2000-metre Olympic-rowing course within 117 hectares of lakes and waterways that link with the extensive canal system of the City of Gold Coast. All facilities are within easy walking distance and include food outlets, a bookshop and post office, a computer shop, a physiotherapy practice and sporting venues. The University Sports Centre includes a gymnasium, a basketball stadium, tennis and squash courts, a soccer field and a football (Rugby) oval as well as a heated outdoor Olympic size swimming pool.
Study Australia participants will generally live in on-campus apartments with single study rooms and shared bathrooms. Two meals per day are included with on-campus housing and the cost is reflected in the program fees. Students wishing to live off-campus can choose from high quality, affordable apartments and houses near campus, including some beachfront locations. | |
