Description: The European Capitals Programs is designed for college, precollege and secondary students interested in European business, diplomacy, cultures, art, architecture, history and languages. This program includes excursions in 11 European cities: Brussels, Paris, London, Bruges, Prague, Antwerp, Berlin and Amsterdam, Vienna, Luxemburg, Geneva. Students must enroll in the 3-credit European Union Seminar, and have the option of taking a 3-credit European language course (French, German, Spanish, Dutch or Italian). Professors and staff from the International Management Institute (IMI) in Brussels, Belgium, teach all courses and travel with the group. The entire program is conducted in English. Students earn 6 college credits. [OBJECTIVE] The European Capitals Program allows students to learn about the European Union, culture, business, politics and languages in their natural environment and become immersed in the European society through coursework and extensive travel to the economic, political and historic centers in Europe. IMI/BRUSSELS: The program is based at the International Management Institute (IMI) in Brussels, Belgium. IMI is recognized as a leading business, diplomacy and language school. Brussels is the economic and political capital of Europe, with the European Commission, European Parliament, European Investment Bank and NATO located in close proximity to IMI. Belgium also has 3 official languages - French, German and Dutch, making it the perfect base for this program. [TRAVEL ITINERARY] The 5-week summer program includes excursions in at least 11 of the following cities: Brussels, Paris, Antwerp, London, Berlin, Vienna, Amsterdam, Rome, Venice, Zurich, Geneva, Budapest, Warsaw, Prague and Madrid. LIVING: In Belgium, students live in furnished apartments maintained by IMI. During the excursions, students live in hotel/hostel accommodations (double or triple occupancy). [TUTION] The 5-week Summer program is $6,350; The program includes academics (up to 6 college credits), textbooks, living accommodations, on-site support, travel and medical insurance, airport welcome and transfer, field trips, sightseeing, cultural and professional excursions in Europe.
