Description:
| Australian Catholic University is a public university, open to all, with its name having been derived from its historic roots. ACU is particularly strong in the fields of business, education, nursing, and sports science. Although the university itself is relatively new, its educational traditions are well established. The university is made up of six campuses, all located in eastern Australia. Oswego State participants can choose to study at the Brisbane or Sydney campuses. Each campus is small enough to allow for a close working relationship between students and teachers and large enough to offer a vast diversity of course choices at equally exciting locations.
Student teaching and internship opportunities are offered at ACU.
Internships Students may be eligible to undertake an internship while they are at ACU. Students must be of junior or senior standing. The internship program is such that students complete 3 courses worth 4 credits each and an internship worth 3 credits for a semester total of 15 credits. Internships are available in the fields of environmental science, history, fine arts, education, public management, literature, publishing, cultural studies, business studies, finance, economics, marketing, and management. An internship is typically taken after classes have been completed for 3 weeks. However, undertaking classes concurrently is possible, subject to scheduling limitations.
