| The Semester Abroad in Caen allows you the opportunity to experience and explore Europe, France and, especially, the historic and beautiful province of Normandy. Since 1994, UW-SP International Programs provides this uncommon travel/study program to those wishing an education beyond the bounds of the classrooms on campus. Enrich your language proficiency goals through cultural immersion at the Université de Caen. Intensive French language classes, at both the intermediate and advanced levels, make up the curricular core. These classes are chosen to take advantage of your location and include emphasis on French Culture and Civilization, History and Art History. Advanced students have additional course choices in areas such as Economics, History and Cinema. Your courses in Caen are administered by the CEUIE (Centre d'Enseignement Universitaire International pour Etrangers), a division of the "Université de Caen." University Sponsored Side Trips from Caen may include: Mont St. Michel, Giverny, Bayeux, Normandy Beaches, etc. There is a three/four day entry tour through Paris. Room, Half Board, Metro Pass, Lectures and Museum Entrances, etc. is provided.
