Description:
| The Costa Rica program will be based at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, the largest technical college in Costa Rica. Daily field trips will be taken to schools throughout the region as well as to the central office of the Ministry of Education. During the second week, students will be given the opportunity to visit some of Costa Rica's magnificent natural sites, including the northern rainforest and an active volcano, and students will enjoy learning about the local culture through visits to picturesque rural mountain villages. Program participants will also tour San José, where they will visit the Gold Museum, the National Assembly, and the Costa Rican White House. During the last week of the trip, students will spend two days at a beautiful beach resort on the Pacific side of Costa Rica, where they will again have direct contact with yet another type of rainforest. | |
