Description:
| A carefully designed curriculum offers small classes and individualized instruction. Students may concentrate in any area they wish or select a course of study across the curriculum. The school's main building is nestled in the countryside at the edge of town, and about five minutes from the beach and shops. Lovely private accommodation includes balconies with panoramic views, artistic tiled floors, wood ceilings, TV with satellite, cooker and fridge. All core courses are credit bearing and taught by professional educators and accomplished artists. Students can learn and create in an artistic, non-pressured atmosphere, full of cultural and experiential opportunities. Creative Writing, Painting, Literature, Philosophy, and Film Studies make up the main curriculum. Greek Cultural Studies, and Language, Documentary and Artistic Photography are offered, and facilities include a black and white darkroom and the latest color digital software. A complete Art Workshop program allows for individual study in all aspects of drawing and painting. Studio space and complete single accommodation, as well as inter-island travel, and all museum and site entrance fees are included in the tuition cost. Work Study and financial aid allotments are offered to economically challenged and/or exceptional students. | |
