Description:
| Instruction and coursework is mainly carried out in Finnish or Swedish, depending on the university. However, Finland’s universities have created a wide array of study programs in English and other foreign languages in order to promote international education exchange. At present there are almost 200 study programs in English, at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
ISEP participants to the Abo/Turku universities, Lappeenranta University of Technology, Helsinki University of Technology, the University of Oulu, and the University of Joensuu have the option of applying for an internship at a Finnish enterprise related to their academic fields of study. Normally the internship should take place after participants have completed their studies at the host institution.
Northern Exposure: Summer School in Botany at the University of Oulu, offers field courses at the university’s research stations focusing on the ecology and botany of the Nordic countryside and wilderness.
ISEP member institutions in Finland: Abo/Turku Consortium, University of Helsinki, Helsinki University of Technology, University of Joensuu, University of Jyvaskyla, University of Kuopio, Lappeenranta University of Technology, University of Oulu, University of Tampere, and Tampere University of Technology.
Spend a semester, academic year, or summer studying abroad while earning credit towards your degree. Study in a different language or take classes taught in English.
