Description:
| The University at Albany's program at the University College Galway offers students the opportunity to study in a variety of liberal arts disciplines, including Irish Studies and Language. You can participate for a semester or an academic year. All students enroll directly into regular university courses, with native Irish students and other foreigners, in any area for which they are qualified. Most importantly, our program provides integration into the university and fosters independence in our students. In a typical academic year, over 1,000 foreign students attend UCG; they are attracted by the University's internationally acknowledged reputation for academic excellence and the city's safe, friendly, and supportive environment.
The University College Galway, UCG, is one of Ireland's foremost centers of academic excellence. UCG was founded in 1845 and is located near the center of Galway, on the banks of the River Corrib. Due to the location of the campus, student and city life and activities are closely interrelated, giving you every opportunity to enjoy the local life. The size of the student body, approximately 7,000 students, helps create a friendly, intimate atmosphere, where personal contact between student and instructor is highly valued, forming a wonderful learning environment for our students | |
