Student Life
AIU's study abroad program takes full advantage of London's historical sites and cultural attractions. Several courses include class excursions to landmarks and locations specific to the area of study, such as museums, galleries, commercial centers, and seats of government. The University also sponsors a variety of structured weekday activities for students each term, including attendance at theatrical presentations, concerts, and walking tours. Guided weekend travel and organized trips to other European cities like Paris, Rome, Dublin, and Madrid are available and encouraged.
Location & Housing
AIU-London is centrally located between Hyde and Regent's Parks. London's finest museums, galleries, palaces, churches, and theaters are only a short walk from the campus. Traveling to attractions throughout the city is made accessible by the London Underground, the largest public transportation system in the world. Students are housed in furnished apartments (called flats) in central London within commuting distance of the University. Flats vary in size and shape ranging from two to five bedrooms, generally with two or three students sharing a room. Basic amenities are provided including cutlery, flatware, and bed linens. Supermarkets and laundry facilities are conveniently located nearby housing. | |
