Description:
| A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extenstive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world.
The IES London Direct Enrollment Program is an opportunity for those students looking to fully integrate into the British higher education system and concentrate their overseas studies in their major and/or minor disciplines at one of the following institutions:
*City University
*Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London
*Harris Manchester College, Oxford University
*London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art
*Queen Mary, University of London
*School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London
*Slade School of Fine Art, University College London
*University College London
These programs appeal primarily to those students who are very disciplined, self-motivated, can work independently, and are ready for the challenge of adapting to an entirely new and different academic culture.
The IES Direct Enrollment Program offers students the opportunity to truly integrate themselves into British university life. Students can expect a rich and diverse experience, both from the city of London itself as well as in the classroom.
Academically, students will benefit from studying with world-renowned academics in centers of excellence. Research and learning facilities are extensive, including privileged access to libraries such as Senate House, the University of London college library, and others.
Socially, British university culture is vibrant and varied, with clubs and societies that cater to every student from intramural soccer players to Welsh speakers.
Enrolling directly in British universities through IES provides students with the best of both worlds: independence and support. Although students have the independence afforded by being enrolled as any other student in the British system, they have access to all of the services provided by both their British institutions as well as the familiar university services provided by IES. IES helps students navigate the British system by providing experienced academic advising and support in registration at their specific institution. IES guarantees housing placement, provides orientation, and gives students the opportunity to participate in optional IES field trips and social functions. Students also benefit from IES’ commitment to students’ wellbeing. All students have access to experienced student services staff, who are trained to support the needs of students studying in London. For the student that is prepared to make the leap, there is a whole new world awaiting them.
Students must meet each university’s specific requirements, including the requisite minimum GPA (depending on university, 3.0-3.7 on a 4.0 scale), relevant prerequisites, and Junior or Senior standing. Students should select courses in their major or minor and be prepared to provide documentation of relevant prior coursework. | |
