Description:
| IES Dublin balances the study of history and culture, particularly of rural Ireland, with the analysis of recent rapid economic growth and development, a flourishing Irish literary scene, dramatically changing roles for women, and the politics of postcolonialism. IES courses are available in a range of disciplines and include field study in Dublin and its environs. Students may also enroll in courses for foreign students at the Newman School of Irish Studies at University College Dublin. Qualified full-year students may enroll in the European Union Honors Program or the Natural Science Honors Program, taking all courses at Trinity College. Qualified spring semester students may enroll directly at Trinity College in business and economics courses, or in chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science and mathematics courses. The IES Dublin academic center is centrally located on St. Stephen’s Green in Newman House, the original site of University College Dublin. The program enrolls approximately 30 students each semester. | |
