Description:
| The 2-month SFBT program takes place in Mexico City, Mexico, and Madrid, Spain, and provides students the opportunity to experience two remarkably diverse parts of the Hispanic world -- while pursuing a rigorous program of Spanish language training with a focus on business concepts and practices, analysis of social, political and economic issues, and daily life in Mexico and Spain. Classes are taught in Spanish. The curriculum consists of in- and out-of-classroom coursework, professional visits, cultural excursions, student research and field-based projects. Open to undergraduates, graduates, post-graduates. Students take 4 courses (in the Spanish language), and earn 12 credit units. Transcripts are issued by Georgia Institute of Technology. This program is offered for 2 months during the summer session only: late May to late June in Mexico City, and early July to early August in Madrid.
[GEORGIA TECH] Georgia Tech is one of the world's premier technology, science, economics and business-oriented universities, accredited in the US. Professors from Georgia Tech accompany the students and teach the courses.
[EXCURSIONS] Sightseeing and cultural excursions broaden students' understanding of Mexican and Spanish culture, art and architecture. ROOM & BOARD: In Mexico City, students live with a Mexican family. Two meals per day are included. In Madrid, students live in a residence hall. Two meals per day are included.
[TUITION] The 2-month Summer program is $6,999 US for Georgia state residents ($7,249 for non-GA residents). The tuition includes academics, college or graduate credit, room and board, on-site support, medical and travel insurance, round-trip travel, airport pick-up, field trips, sightseeing and cultural excursions. | |
