Description:
| The Summer Program in European Culture and Society offers students the opportunity to spend a month in Belgium, immersing themselves in the literary, historical, artistic and intellectual culture of Northern Europe. The program includes field trips to some of Belgium’s premier cities and the chance to combine study with sight-seeing. Located in the heart of Western Europe, the University of Leuven is the oldest Catholic university in the world and one of the most prestigious. Known as an international center of learning, the University attracts more than 2000 international students from 100 countries each year. The town itself has preserved its charms as an old university town with many of its buildings dating from the Middle Ages. Conveniently located, Leuven is 20 minutes from Brussels and only a few hours by train from London, Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne. | |
