Description:
| Franklin College Switzerland is a US accredited four-year BA degree granting, residential
college located in Lugano, Switzerland. Lugano is the principal city in the southern most
tri-lingual canton of Ticino. The College overlooks Lake Lugano, and the foothills of the
Swiss Alps. Just minutes from the Italian border, the College is an hour from Milan, and
is ideally located for weekend travel to Florence, Venice, Nice, Venice, Zurich and
Geneva.
As a degree granting institution, the College offers a full range of academic course work,
and welcomes study abroad students for the fall and spring semesters, and for summer
sessions. Semesters begin in late August and mid-January. There are two summer
sessions, in May/June and July/August. All credits are transferable to US based colleges
and universities.
A special feature of the program is a two-week academic travel program each semester, to
destinations in Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, Asia and the US. There are over 50
nationalities represented in the student body which provides a an unique international and
cross-cultural dimension to the program.
