Description:
| Affiliated with The Foundation for International Education and Imperial College (University of London), the Lexia in London Program introduces students to the history, politics, economics and culture of the United Kingdom, with special emphasis on multiculturalism in the global context. Coursework, optional language training, excursions, field research projects, internships and the experience of living in a student house or dormitory help students to understand the local culture and to confront the issues facing this dynamic, multifaceted city. The program strongly supports interaction and dialogue between Lexia students and British faculty and students. To this end, local students and faculty are involved with the program from the very beginning, giving Lexia participants immediate and direct access to the culture. Social and academic encounters with locals and organized field trips all contribute to a greater understanding of this island nation and to London as a 21st century global urban center | |
