Description:
| SUNY Oswego in Osnabruck, Germany: Students at the intermediate level of German are eligible for admission. Because it is a direct enrollment program, students have access to all courses, programs and activities offered at the University of Osnabrück. The first university in Osnabrück was founded in 1628, and the site of the current university is in Prince Bishop's Palace. Courses are offered in all departments of the Arts, Humanities, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences as well as in Business, Economics, Health Studies and Theology. Students carry a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
Background in German language is required; it is also possible to take select courses in English from their English Department. Students who have only a basic foundation in German (1-2 years) may participate in the Osnabruck's intensive German Language course in the summer prior to the beginning of the Fall semester. This program typically takes place in late summer (August - September), includes participants from around the world, and is a complete immersion program which includes excursions. Students generally earn 6 credits for their participation in the summer session. | |
