Description:
| SUNY Oswego program in Barcelona: The Oswego University of Barcelona program follows the curriculum of the Curso de Estudios Hispánicos at the University of Barcelona. Students enroll in a six-credit course of Spanish language and grammar on the basis of their preparation in Spanish, which is determined by evaluation tests that are given just after the students' arrival in Barcelona. All classes are taught in Spanish by distinguished faculty members from the University of Barcelona, yet are intended specifically for non-natives. Students take a minimum of 6 additional credits choosing from courses in the following areas: Spanish history, phonetics, literature, and culture; Latin American literature; Catalan; and history of Spanish art. This is a program for students who are beyond the beginning level of Spanish language. A minimum of 12 credit hours must be taken each semester. Host families are arranged, or independent housing in apartments. | |
