Description:
| Since 1964, the Collegium Palatinum in Heidelberg has been offering the total immersion approach to the study of German. Classes are kept small, instruction is conducted totally in German by highly trained natives, the work is intensive and the study outcomes are generally impressive. Offered on the very beginner’s level up to the level of a native speaker, the Collegium has justly earned a coveted reputation among language institutes in Germany. Instruction in this program is conducted at all times by highly trained, qualified, university-educated native speakers of German. Direct foreign language methodology is combined with the latest state of the arts in audiovisual equipment, such as cassettes, tapes, and instant video replays.
Students in the language program register for twelve American college credits and enter on one of the five levels of language instruction consisting of 25 hours instruction per week, bringing the total number of contact hours during the eight-week semester to two hundred.
