| From classes in British politics, history, and theatre to field trips, an internship, and accommodation in a central London flat, the semester in London gives you a chance to experience nearly every aspect of culture and society in Britain. This popular World Capitals Program of American University (AU) also earns you a semester of undergraduate credit and helps you gain valuable international work experience-without requiring you to brush up on your foreign language skills.
Our office in central London's Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea serves as your base for the semester in London. There, British faculty, advisers, and guest speakers teach, guide, and inspire you to deepen your understanding of Britain's political, economic, and social fabric.
You can earn a full semester of American University (AU) credit during the London program. These credits are transferable to most colleges and universities. The following courses are offered in the program: London Theatre in Performance (3 credit hours); British Politics (3 credit hours); History of London (3 credit hours); Media Institutions and Society (3 credit hours); British Law and Justice System (3 credit hours); Semester in London Internship (4 credit hours).
