Description:
| This course is intended to provide an understanding of the development of European law – both from a social and legal perspective – and its influence on the structure and development of law in the United States. The two main sections of the course will focus of European Union Law and Constitutional Law and will be conducted in a lecture and discussion format by faculty at Oxford University. Seminars conducted by GMU faculty will bridge European and American law concepts. There will be field trips through the city of Oxford, and optional tours of the Roman city of Bath and Stonehenge. You’ll end your stay in London, where you’ll visit the Houses of Parliament and Inns of Court, and enjoy an evening of theatre. | |
