Description:
| The name Strasbourg means "City of Roads," and the city has been at the crossroads of Europe for centuries. Today, it is the ideal site for the Syracuse European Studies/ Certificate of Contemporary Europe program. The Syracuse Center is within walking distance of the Council of Europe, European Parliament, and the Court of Human Rights, and qualified students may intern or research at one of the Council directorates. Extensive field study to Central and Eastern Europe and historically significant Western cities gives you first-hand experience of the complex cultural and political identity of the New Europe. Wide-ranging courses taught in English or French, and homestays with French families to help you develop language skills.
French and German language programs at all levels and French culture studies complete the academic program. Intermediate and advanced French language students may take courses at the Université de Strasbourg. | |
