Description:
| Calvin College is a Christian college. It seeks, in all its courses and programs, to integrate faith commitment with academic study. Oak Hill College is also a Christian college, a theological seminary of the Church of England. This context for learning will allow North American students to see themselves in a Christian academic environment close enough to theirs to invite comparisons, yet different enough to cause creative rethinking of cultural and religious values. This program allows North American students to live and to study in a Christian community while engaging in a society markedly more "post-Christian" than North America.
The Calvin professor in residence and the Oak Hill faculty will encourage discussions both academic and informal about the main goal of this program, i.e., to enable students to think and to live as Christians in a world culture. | |
